Rihanna performs ABC's "Good Morning AmericaSome of the top performers in the music business will be getting 2010 off to a quick and lucrative start.

A source tells Page Six that Rihanna is getting paid a staggering $500,000 to perform at a New Year’s Eve bash at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi — her first-ever performance in the Middle East. The source said, “She was supposed to perform back in May [in Abu Dhabi], but she cancelled in the aftermath of the assault [by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown]. This is a make-up date.” The songstress’ spokeswoman, Amanda Silverman, did not respond to a request for comment.

But Rihanna’s not the only one who will be raking in the big bucks on New Year’s Eve. We hear her fellow Jay-Z collaborator, Alicia Keys, is getting paid a cool $250,000 to throw a holiday concert in Manhattan. A rep for Keys declined to comment on any details regarding her plans, saying they hadn’t yet been finalized.

Also in town on Dec. 31 will be Green Day, who will perform as the ball drops in Times Square as part of an NBC special emceed by “Last Call” host Carson Daly.
