A down on her luck single mom from the Bronx got a boost from Ellen DeGeneres Tuesday when the TV star gave her $10,000 and a new car.

According to DeGeneres, Rozina Pijuan, 26, wrote the show this year, saying she lost her job and has been struggling to take care of her two young sons.

Pijuan can’t even afford MetroCards to get her kids to school, so the family walks everywhere, she claimed. She decided to get a driver’s license in the hope that she would one day have a car, she said.

DeGeneres decided to give the Bronx mom a GMC Terrain SUV, the cash and a year’s worth of MetroCards as part of a month-long charity giveaway.

Pijuan could not be reached for comment last night.

The show airs Wednesday.
